Arteluce Flos

From 1974 onwards, Arteluce Flos sought designers who could make the most of the manufacturing technologies made available by bringing the two companies together.

With Bruno Gecchelin this strategy took shape: products that were innovative both in concept and in performance, in line with the market trends of the time.

The collaboration was always grounded in an understanding of, and respect for, each other’s expertise. The designer understands the company’s capabilities and ambitions, and responds by contributing his own expertise and vision.

Flos’s acquisition of Arteluce gave the company access to a small metalworking facility, directing its exploration of form towards aluminium die-casting for high-performance products.
