Rede Guzzini

Rede Guzzini grew naturally out of the horn-working tradition from which the family business began. Horn is a valued material that can be shaped with heat, much like high-quality thermoplastics — notably layered, multicoloured acrylic.

The company transferred this craft knowledge from a traditional material to a new one. Combined with Gecchelin’s simple, refined forms, it produced objects that were both decorative and functional. These appealed to a discerning audience who appreciated the dialogue between natural materials — wood and horn — and acrylic, thermoformed by skilled craftspeople.
